NEWS: BioFarms Cluster Presented at Scientific Conference Celebrating 150 Years of the Institute of Agriculture and Tourism in Poreč

The BioFarms Cluster (BFC) project was proudly presented at the international scientific conference “From Science to Innovation for Sustainable Development of Agriculture and Tourism”, held in Poreč on May 8, 2025. The event marked the 150th anniversary of the esteemed Institute of Agriculture and Tourism.

The BFC project was featured during the dedicated session for new project presentations, where Dr. Siniša Srečec from Križevci University of Applied Sciences, one of the project partners, showcased the initiative through a scientific poster. The presentation highlighted the transnational character of the BFC project and its commitment to innovation in the sustainable production and processing of aromatic and medicinal plants across the Adriatic-Ionian (ADRION) region.

The session provided a valuable opportunity to disseminate the project’s mission of building a cluster that enhances technology transfer, supports Smart Specialization Strategies, and promotes the efficient use of agri-food by-products. It also offered a platform to engage with researchers, practitioners, and policymakers interested in sustainable agriculture and green innovation.

In addition, the book of abstracts published by the conference organizers included the full abstract of the BFC project, ensuring broader visibility among the academic and scientific community.

Participation in this event reinforced the project’s role in contributing to sustainable regional development, and promoted further dialogue on clustering, innovation, and bio-based value chains in the ADRION area.
