NEWS: Showcasing Regional Innovation Across the ADRION Area
Strengthening Transnational Collaboration and Circular Innovation
The third edition of the BioFarms Cluster (BFC) newsletter marks a significant step forward in our joint mission to promote sustainable, plant-based innovation across the Adriatic-Ionian region. Funded under the Interreg IPA ADRION programme, BFC brings together nine partners from seven countries with the shared goal of transforming agri-food by-products and wild plant species into high-value applications for the nutraceutical and pharmaceutical sectors.
Over the past months, the project has made strong progress in connecting local initiatives with broader strategic goals, fostering collaboration between research institutions, SMEs, and regional development agencies. From pilot actions and training activities to public presentations and participation in scientific events, BFC partners are actively shaping a greener and more circular future for the region’s bioeconomy.
The third newsletter reflects this dynamic momentum—featuring project appearances at international conferences, regional engagement in circular economy forums, and continuous knowledge exchange around sustainable farming, technology transfer, and Smart Specialisation Strategies.
We invite you to read the full issue and discover how the project is helping unlock the untapped potential of natural resources and local ecosystems, while supporting innovation-driven growth and cross-border cooperation.
